Javier López Barbosa
Javier López Barbosa was born on October 8 1962 in Guadalajara Mexico. At the age of 2, he and his family moved to Monterrey Mexico where he grew up. Some of Javier's earliest memories were projected images of himself as an adult artist. Self taught, Javier has painted passionately from childhood on. As an adult, Javier has perfected a beautiful mixed media, oil on canvas technique that is difficult to categorize, but could best be viewed as an outgrowth of glazing.
The white canvas for me is an open window to speak to the world.
It is the opportunity to reveal the deepest levels of love and emotion that come directly from my soul.
It is the gate of opportunity to give and share. It is the constant chance to help fulfill the souls and lives of others, and with this my own fulfillment takes place.
My inspiration comes from every miracle of life that we take for granted.
A child, a flower, a smile from another human being, the formation and coloration of a rock from ancient times, the magnificence of a tree and it’s stages that come from a tiny seed. Even the corrosion on a wall and its manifestations that were possible because the miracle of nature.
We’re all gifted, we’re all here for a reason, this is mine, and I share it with the world, and when the world smiles back that is the best gift of all.
